There is a pause, right during the transition from sleep to awakened.

A pause so subtle, I had no idea it existed for the first 40+years of my life.

It is in this pause the brain turns on and the mind begins planning, on a primal level the brain darting to grasp its level of safety, what needs to be done to remain safe.

It is also the exquisite doorway our conscious mind can enter in and claim how the day will be.

I can remember one morning after spending months reprogramming my paranoid, newly sober brain, by cognitive reframing, I woke up and noticed i was actually at peace. Maybe even a little excited for the day.

Then, within seconds, my brain put out feelers searching for things that were wrong, and soon the old familliar anxieties came over me like a wave.

I remember thinking to myself, look what I just did?! Ain't that sumthin?!

From that moment on I began practicing prayerful mantras the instant i realized i was awake and thinking.

It's been about 4 years of practicing.

As soon as I am conscious I give thanks for this whole new me, in this whole new lifetime I will experience in this brand new day.

I live an entire life, in one day, every day, until death do I part.

  • Each piece is printed on cotton canvas. I then hand paint them with metallics and iridescent embellishments, so no two paintings are ever exactly the same. The added touches truly make the pieces come alive.

The mat and acrylic frame make this piece 11X14 inches.

The mat colour is white. Mat only option is 11x14inches

The 16x20 Glicee is hand detailed with acrylic on canvas and the canvas is wrap around, so there is no frame. If the 16x20 Glicee is out of stock, please message or email me and I will be happy to order for you. It takes about 2-3 weeks to recieve if out of stock. If it is showing in stock, you will recieve in about 5-7 days.

The 16x20 Original is the Original Painting; Oil on Canvas and does not include a frame.

Each print will include the written description adhered to the back of the frame so it can be taken off the wall as a reminder any time you need a bit of encouragement.

Having artwork with affirmative words of encouragement have been instrumental in my own healing journey, and I am honored to pass on the opportunity to you as well.
